Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour for dusting
  • 2 tablespoons truffle honey plus extra for drizzling
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • Optional garnish: Fresh thyme or parsley

Instructions

Prepare Chicken:

  • Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt and pepper. Lightly dredge each piece in flour, shaking off excess.

Sear the Chicken:

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden brown and fully cooked through—about 5 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.

Make the Truffle Honey Glaze:

  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in truffle honey, Dijon mustard, and balsamic vinegar. Let simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.

Glaze the Chicken:

  • Return chicken to the skillet and coat well with the glaze. Cook another 1–2 minutes, spooning sauce over the top to caramelize slightly.

Serve:

  • Plate the chicken and drizzle with extra truffle honey if desired. Garnish with thyme or parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Truffle Honey Substitute: Mix 1 tablespoon regular honey with ¼ teaspoon truffle oil for a similar flavor.
  • Serving Suggestion: Pairs beautifully with roasted potatoes, arugula salad, or creamy polenta.
  • Storage: Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days; reheat gently to preserve glaze.
